    Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
A talking therapy based on the idea that your thoughts and beliefs affect your feelings and your behaviour. So for example people who are depressed view everything in a negative way, they may think they are useless, the future is hopeless and nobody around them understands. CBT is trying to identify these negative thoughts and beliefs, and teaching more helpful ways of thinking and coping.
    Interpersonal Therapy (IPT)
The main focus of IPT are relationships with others, past and present. Everybody starts developing relationships right from when they are born - first with their parents and siblings, then with their peers at school, later with their partners. Throughout their life people adopt either adaptive or maladaptive ways of relating. A lot of people seek therapy to improve their relationships for example in couple therapy but also relationships with other family members. IPT is trying to help develop healthier and happier relationships
    Positive Psychology
This is a therapeutic approach which incorporates the theory of positive psychology. Positive psychology focuses on your strengths rather than your weaknesses, it tries to promote/or teach optimism, improve self-esteem and self-confidence and concentrate on positive life events.
    Person-centred therapy
This therapy is based on Carl Rogers theory, where the main belief is that each individual has the capacity for personal growth and change. The therapy is non-directive and the therapist uses mainly empathy and unconditional positive regard in order to facilitate that change. The main vehicle of therapy is the therapeutic relationship itself.
